Be Alert, Be Safe – Awareness Against Fake Calls / SMS

  • MCB Islamic Bank Ltd., SBP, ISPR / Army / Rangers, FIA, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and any other organizations never obtains or ask for personal/banking details.
  • Never give information of your online bank account password and PIN through SMS or Email.
  • Beware of SMS, email or ads asking to earn money by clicking on specific website(s). Don’t allow them to trap you.
  • Don’t give info of your online bank account password/PIN through SMS/Email. Your account can be hacked.
  • Never write down your PIN and never disclose it to anyone.
  • Beware of false SMS regarding lottery schemes/ Ehsaas programs/ benazir income support prize offers. They are all fake.
  • Some attackers will use text-to-speech devices or voice filters to sound like the automated calls used by legitimate organizations. Never assume a call is legitimate because it sounds automated.
  • Attackers are capable of spoofing caller ID to fool their targets. Never rely on caller ID alone to prove identity.
  • All click to earn money SMS or click to earn website offers are fake. Do not fall prey to them.
  • Beware of messages/call regarding winning a car prize. They are all fake.
  • Beware of Lottery/Prize schemes SMS and local / overseas employment frauds asking you to deposit processing / registration fees in a bank account or through easy paisa. They are all fake.
  • Never trust and reply anonymous emotional SMS that say (Allah Rasool k wastay ma musibat mai hun Rs.100 ka balance transfer ker do) they are all traps.
