What is Raast?

Raast is Pakistan’s instant payment system developed by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). It enables secure, fast, and cost-effective digital payments between individuals and institutions in real time.

How do I send money using Raast through the Subuk App?

To make a payment using Raast:

  1. Log in to the Subuk App
  2. Tap on Send Money
  3. Select Raast
  4. Enter the recipient’s Raast ID (mobile number or IBAN)
  5. Enter the amount and verify details
  6. Confirm to complete the transfer – funds are sent instantly

What can I do with Raast?

You can use Raast to:

  • Send money instantly to any bank using IBAN or beneficiary’s Raast ID
  • Receive money into your MCB Islamic account by telling your own Raast ID (mobile number) to the payer

What is a Raast ID, and how do I get one?

A Raast ID is your mobile number that is linked to your bank account.
To register your Raast ID:

  1. Open Hub Menu → Setting → Raast Alias
  2. Click Create to link your Raast ID with your MCB Islamic Bank’s account number

How fast are Raast transfers?

Raast transfers are instant and near to real-time — the funds are credited to the recipient’s account immediately after you confirm the transaction.

Is Raast secure?

Yes. Raast is backed by State Bank of Pakistan and uses advanced security measures and encryption to protect your data and transactions. Only authorized, registered bank accounts can access Raast.

Can I send or receive international payments via Raast?

No, Raast is only for local payments within Pakistan. For international transfers, you may use MCB Islamic’s remittance services.

Can I use Raast to pay utility bills or merchants?

Currently, Raast supports person-to-person (P2P) and person-to-merchants (P2M) transfers only. For bill payments, use the Pay Bill feature in the Subuk app.

Can I cancel a Raast transaction once it’s done?

No. Since Raast transfers are instant and real-time, always double-check the Raast ID, Account Title and amount before confirming the transaction.

How can I check my Raast payment history?

To view your Raast transfers:

  1. Open the Subuk app
  2. Go to Account Statement
  3. All Raast transactions (along with date, amount, and status) will be listed here
