Can I open a new MCB Islamic account online?

Yes, you can conveniently open a new Islamic account digitally using the MCB Islamic Mobile Banking App.

You’ll need:

  • A valid identity document (CNIC / SNIC)
  • Your mobile number, which should be issued against CNIC
  • Required documents (as per account selection)
  • In-App Biometric verification

No branch visit is required.

How do I check my account balance?

After logging into the MCB Islamic app, your account balance is shown on the main dashboard, but it remains hidden by default for privacy.

To view it:

  • Tap the eye icon next to the balance to reveal it
  • Tap again to hide it when needed

How do I update my contact details (phone number or email)?

To update your registered contact information:

Go to Settings → Profile → Click on 3-dot menu → Edit Contact Number (Mobile) or Email

  • Enter your new details
  • Biometric authentication will be required

Note: For security, a 2-hour security lock will be applicable.

Can I manage multiple accounts using one app?

Yes. If your CNIC is linked with multiple eligible MCB Islamic accounts, you can manage them all through a single login in the app.

What should I do if I notice an incorrect transaction or balance?

If you identify an error:

  • Use the “Lodge Complaint” option in the app
  • Or call our 24/7 Customer Support Helpline

Are joint account holders allowed to use the MCB Islamic app?

Yes, depending on the account’s operating instructions:

  • Either/Survivor: Full app access is allowed only to the primary account holder

How can I close my MCB Islamic account?

To close your account:

  1. Log in to Subuk App
  2. Go to Hub Menu → Services → Select Account → Account Closure Request

Your request will be submitted digitally and a bank representative will contact you.

What is account linking in Subuk App?

Account linking allows you to enable your multiple accounts maintained with MCB Islamic under one Subuk App login. This way, you can view balances, transfer funds, and manage services from a single username for your multiple accounts.

How do I link an additional account in Subuk App?

  1. Log in to Subuk App
  2. Go to Hub Menu → Settings → Account Linking
  3. Tap Add Account

Your account will be linked and will be visible on your dashboard.

Can I de-link an account from Subuk App?

Yes. If you no longer want to see or use a certain account in Subuk App:

  • Go to Hub Menu → Settings → Account Linking/Delinking
  • Select the account you want to remove
  • Tap De-link and confirm with T-PIN

The account will no longer appear in your Subuk App.

What happens if I de-link my account?

De-linking an account will remove it from Subuk App, but your bank account itself will remain active. You can re-link it anytime through the app.

Is there a limit to how many accounts I can link?

No. You can link all of your eligible MCB Islamic accounts under one Subuk App profile.

What is a default (primary) account in Subuk App?

Your default account is the primary account that Subuk App will use by default for:

  • Fund transfers
  • Bill & merchant payments
  • Service requests
  • If you have multiple accounts linked, this saves you from selecting an account every time

How do I set my default account?

  • Log in to Subuk App
  • Go to Hub Menu → Settings → Set Primary Account
  • Select the account you want to set as default

The selected account will now appear first for all transactions.

Can I change my default account later?

Yes. You can change your primary account anytime by repeating the same steps in Default Account settings.

What is Dormancy Removal?

Dormancy removal is the process of reactivating an inactive account so you can start using it again for transactions. An account becomes dormant if the account holder has not performed any transaction for 12 consecutive months.

Can I remove dormancy through Subuk App?

Yes. You can submit a Dormancy Removal Request directly from Subuk App:

  • Go to Hub Menu → Accounts → Dormancy Removal
  • Select the dormant account and perform biometric verification to submit the request

Once reactivated, you must perform at least one financial transaction before the end of the day to fully restore account activity.
